Righto, so this blog really does need a fix-up. It is already growing old…or perhaps it was growing old the moment it was released, like all technology?
Somewhat ironic, is that I am writing on the Blogosphere for my 2nd term paper due on November 30th. My first term paper got 10/10…which I am happy about. My TA is perhaps one of the most random and crazy TA’s ever – he wrote
‘LOL!’ on my essay when I quoted Senator Ted Stevens about the whole Internets being a series of pipes issue. Now THAT, THAT ladies and gentlemen, is greatness.
As stated many times before, my friend Joe Wu’s band Mensheng is continually growing and changing…and I’ve finally started on starting their site…which will be temporarily hosted on my account until they get their own
I want to do something different this time…but that’s kind of hard seeing as to I don’t really have that much time (notice I am updating every Friday?).
So today marks another long weekend – a much needed long weekend. This weekend will act as a regenerative one, allowing me to not only get some more sleep, but also to catch up on homework – exams are in 1 week (2 for two others). Of course, there is a plethora of other things to do (ie. annotated bibliography, physics pre-lab quiz, physics assignment, calculus assignment, linear algebra assignment). If I am able to control myself and not focus on playing, I might just be able to have a weekend left!
With this Thanksgiving weekend, there are also a couple of other things! For starters, Mid-Autumn Festival. Oh, you mean you didn’t know? Well, now you do…so go have a mooncake
Tonight we had yet another hotpot dinner; we had one last week. Of course, since it was hotpot, it wouldn’t be complete (now) without the consumption of an imported beer! Tonight’s spotlight was on the strictly German-brewed Wernesgrüner. We had high expectations of this German beer…mainly because it had a snazzy can and because it was German. Well…I guess I had been deceived – this beer is tasteless! It might be because of it’s “crisp, crystal clear water” I didn’t like it, but yeah, the taste was disgustingly light. You could tell by the colour that it was light (it was that light)! With that said (and hopefully understood), the bitterness and aftertaste was at an extreme-low [compared with the other beers]. Well…won’t be buying a Wernesgrüner ever again, haha.
And thus ends another period of beer testing…what other beers or alcoholic beverages do we have planned? Well, here’s a couple we’re planning to try (or re-visit) soon:
- Guiness (ALE!! it’s NOT beer)
- Miller Genuine Honey
- Corona (re-try)
- Beefeater (+juice of some sort) (VODKA)
- Coors
- Old Milwuakee
- Labatt Blue
——————-
Recently (the past two days), I’ve been going back to the classics (ie. Hootie and the Blowfish, Bush/Bush X) or have been introduced to a few newer bands/artists (Snow Patrol) [thanks, Hyland]. I had been missing out on quite a bit, haha – I plan to hit my local library for Hootie or Bush…hehe.
Before I go away again, some useless stats/numbers/info for everyone to look and laugh at:
- I have 100+ contacts on MSN but only frequently talk to maybe 30
- AMAZINGLY, I have 100+ friends on Facebook but only have been real friends with a few.
- My current discovered alcohol-intake amount is a full beer (I am discovering without getting drunk remember?)
- Our term 2 paper had been announced for 3 months but nobody has started on it yet
- I am trying to hear and discover my voice again
- I am officially on break from leading worship at TJCAC
- I think my hair is thinning
- I feel like answering one of those useless surveys
Have a nice Thanksgiving everyone and remember:
Drink, but do not get drunk…or else you go to Hell…beeyatchelz!
