So here’s one of those generic “here’s an update of my life without too much opinion or provocative thought on anything” posts…have fun.
The Car:
Well, we all saw the pictures and thought the car would be written off as totaled right? WRONG. The insurance adjustors decided earlier in the week that it would be cheaper to just replace the front and back doors of the left side of the car, fix the front axle, get a new front bumper, fix the main body on the left side, and replace 3 blown tires.
Now, I don’t know about you, and I don’t know about the strength of replacement parts…but I don’t have that much trust in body repairs such as doors. Then again, I guess you could say the same for bumpers and hoods…but still, I’m just paranoid. As my dad said to John:
John, I don’t think the next time you see me, you’d want me to be like *acts ghastly* “Joooohhhnnn….pleeaaasee fiiix myyy caaaar”
But yes, remember kids…even if it’s just saving a couple grand, the insurance company will NOT write-off your car as totalled, even if it looked lkie it was. So, be ready for the next time you see the dark grey charcoal ‘05 Camry rolling around on the streets.
My dad:
My dad was thankfully not majorly physically injured in the car accident. However, a couple days after the accident (last Thursday), the usual muscle pain began to appear. When you get into a car crash, or when you brake hard, your seatbelt locks…I’m not sure if every one of you know that. Now, there will always be minor whiplash, especially if you don’t know for sure you were going to get hit. And of course, there are the injuries which nobody can see…the mental ones. He’s scared of driving now, and even more scared of seeing the Pontiac logo - if he sees one making a left turn, he just grips the chair like mad.
So in the meantime, he’s getting daily doctor check-ups and might need physio. There’s also the mental issue which can hopefully be resolved soon…
My MSN: Microsoft Continues To Haunt Me
So as most of you have known by now, I have a new MSN account, mainly due to the incompetent Microsoft technical support staff. Their plague continues on with my new account! There have been numerous reports to me from my friends that they cannot add my new account. There aren’t error messages, their lists aren’t full…THEY JUST CAN’T ADD ME. I can add them though, and see their status.
To add to this, a lot of people have been experiencing messed up MSN’s all at the same time. Can we say that Microsoft has reared it’s ugly face again?
Personally…
There were going to be personal things here…but I’m leaving that for the private conversations on MSN. HAHA, I just made an oxymoron! “Private conversations on MSN”!
Today on campus, Master Tait and I made a brief “funny” in UA1120. I’ll be linking it soon when he uploads it. Also, visit his blog for a few more “funnies”, and stay for the very pretty UOIT-themed wallpapers he made!
