In other news, tonight featured a double-header! Yes, the FIRST double header ever (for me)!

Tonight’s contestants were Holsten from Germany and a very very cute Grolsch from Holland.

Before taking a sip of my nice cold Holsten, I had already decided in my mind that it would be somewhat disappointing like the other German… Sure enough, Holsten didn’t satisfy my tastes…but it sure did feel good (it was straight from the fridge remember?). Apart from a snazzy can, there isn’t too much to remember about it. Oh, it smelled good…seriously.

However, the second beer! The very cute Grolsch, from Holland in our hands! The truth is, a four pack of Grolsch in bottles costs around $11. We got two bottles and a hot novelty glass for $8? Meh. We also got something else, but that’s for another night! Back to Grolsch - let’s just say i was very satisfied. Aesthetically pleasing…taste-bud pleasing…Holland produces great beer. Would I recommend Grolsch over my Japanese favourites? probably so! But would I take Grolsch over Budweiser? probably not… Budweiser has forever changed the course of my beer standards.
