Nov24/06: Rocket On

Rock it on.

So last night I killed around an hour recording something very silly…

Here’s the low-down:
In calculus yesterday, we (Will, Aaron and I) kept on singing Sexyback. At one point, Aaron was like “WTF? Isn’t it ‘take it to the fridge’?!?!” and we all laughed…because it was ‘take it to the bridge’. Anyway, while Ilona was lecturing, Will kept on doing certain parts of Sexyback, which led to me also doing it…hahaha. So eventually, Will leaned over and was like “You know, there could totally be a rock version of this…I’m thinking it’d be something on the power chord of G…DUN! DUN DUN!”

So, here we are now… I present to you, a very rough version which needs to be refined like mad (not to mention re-synced and re-recorded at parts…and on top of all, FINISHED):
Adwin Lam -Rock the Sexyback

May you listen responsibly, and provide some feedback; I think a version two with less hardcore will be made later tonight. Remember that the original song was by Justin Timberlake…with a little bit of Timbaland….with no lumber seen at all. For those wondering, yes…that is me for everything. Multi-track recording in all it’s glory; I could probably be a recording engineer/producer one day :P

PS: No G chords whatsoever…except in my new bridge (I think that’s the best part :)).

EDIT1 (1:15pm)– A lot of friends agreeing that I should try a version where the voice style at the bridge is used throughout the song; the screamo voice is really irritating and bad-sounding. Also, i think I will need more bass…so dual guitars soon…
