Bread(l)…liquid bread? BEER! Haha…yes, it is time for the MUCH belated mini-reviews of Creemore Springs, Pilsner Urquell and Faxe! Oh, as well as the entire year in retrospect in another post… More after the jump…
Creemore Springs, the beer which is “proudly brewed in Creemore, Ontario” and available since 1987. We don’t really have that many Ontario beers, I think Lakeport is one of those? I forget. Anyway…on to the details. If I remember right, Creemore Springs was one of the beers that REALLY hit the spot for the mother and I. We both agree that it had an acceptable clear, crisp taste. What is there to a beer review?…I’d think it was just taste!
Pilsner Urquell, another one of those Czech beers we invested in. We get a very snazzy looking gold tin can…and very dark yellow looking beer (which smelled like piss! no…I’m kidding.) From such a pretty can, we expected something much better than what we tasted, that’s all I can really say about Pilsner Urquell…which the brewer Plzensky Prazdroj (with plenty of symbols) proudly declares is “the original golden pilsner beer”! No more Czech beers, please.
Faxe…Denmark, the words “Danish Amber Beer”…a Viking logo…what’s not to arouse interest in this can! Everything escapes my memory about Faxe…other than the fact that we declared it a winner. In fact, we have two more cans of it in the fridge, just because.
