Disney HK wasn’t as shit as everybody made it out to be. Then again, I haven’t been to the American Disneylands or the other Asian ones. However, my mom says that Disney HK is unique and has its own good points. My experience was probably heightened due to the Pirates of the Caribbean [sp] theme here. We had pirates walking all about, and Adventure Land was…Pirate Land. PIRATES HAVE TAKEN OVER! Other high points of my visit at Disney HK include Space Mountain, which is an indoor, space themed rollercoaster, and Astroblaster, which is an interactive laser shooting game. If you want more information about these two attractions, both found in Tomorrowland, you’ll want to actually pay a visit to Disney HK!
Disney HK was a great chance for me to let loose with my mom and act somewhat like kids again, chasing after characters running in line to take pictures with Pluto (2), Donald, Mickey and Minnie (2), Buzz Lightyear (2), Splashworks Goofy, Pooh (2), Chip and Dale (2), Marie, Pirate Goofy and Pluto (2), Pirate Mickey, Captain Hook and Johnny Depp
So a common question is: “How was your birthday?” Well, I spent it overseas, for the first time of my known memory. I was very priviledged to be able to have dinner with both my Lam grandparents, and had lunch with Grandpa Lee, Uncle Choi and Erica. We ate at home, which was perfectly fine with me, knowing the condition Grandpa Lam is in - even if the weather wasn’t so hot, I would rather we stay at home. Before my birthday, each mention of June 4th at the dinner table would eventually lead to talks of Tiannamen Square. In North America, and almost every democratic society, almost all of us believe that the Communist China was 100% wrong in what they did. However, with these talks at the dinner table, I saw from fellow CHINESE PEOPLE that they saw the students as the fault. I believe a lot of you reading this are outraged at this statement, but understand that these students wanted the Communist govenment of China to IMMEDIATELY change - we don’t even get those in democratic countries! I asked my mom on June 3rd why China made such a decision, and she told me that Mao’s education…was basically worse than Grandpa Lee’s. None of you know how my Grandpa Lee acts, none of you have heard the senile, non-sensical things he says, and none of you know him. But if you saw him, you’d understand how fucked fucked up China was (quote!). China has improved since then, however!
…but where are the leaders of the protest and movement now? Well…supposedly one is living in Taiwan, with a fine lady and family, and is quite well off. Another is in Paris, France, also living it up…but with a complete makeover (Chai Ling). You see, the main point is they don’t give a shit anymore…so should anyone really be making such a big fuss over June 4th anymore? You might not know this, but there are actually protests and demonstrations on June 4th in Hong Kong.
My main point: China is changing. The leaders nowadays are very well educated! But before we start naming our first-born after them, let’s just remember that no country is perfect and that every country has its flaws.

For China’s situation, 100 questions can give you 200 answers. There is NO 100% right, and 100% at fault. One thing I’m quite certain though, if you don’t learn to walk right, you can never run far from where you stand. When you stand still, can’t guarantee the ground won’t crumple and bury you alive. Let the History to prove itself. Meantime, we should treat kindly to the one around Us.
