Blub

I think I will be entering a minimalistic-elegant look for both my site and blog…this will definitely help all of those who might have had loading time issues (and the rest of the world’s non-broadband population).

We’ve seen how Kyle Neath’s Hemingway theme appealed to my blog before, so let’s try adopting it again and modifying it to milk elegance, minimalism and functionality! Of course, Kyle got pissed disappointed and discouraged at how some of the WP community were pure leechers who thought he didn’t have anything better to do (amongst other frustrations).

Of course, looking at the Hemingway support forums that he’s hosting won’t make him smile either…since it’s full of spam (similar to the now somewhat de-funct Zunestop site…what a scam, lol). However, digging definitely helps, since I’ve been able to fix one of the first errors I’ve encountered since re-enabling the theme: The Blogroll.

For everyone who didn’t want to go and find out by themselves, I’ll just tell you what to do (though there’s a really nifty “Search” function):

  1. Go into your /blocks/ folder from the Hemingway theme
  2. Open blogroll.php
  3. Replace get_links (or something like that) with wp_list_bookmarks
  4. GG

I WILLZ MAKES KYLE NEATH SMILEZ FOR HEMINGWAY!!111ONEHUNDREDELEVENANDONE…probably not.

Tis very nice. Minimalism is always good choice. I was actually contemplating change my blog to something with just black and gray but alas you beat me to it!
