ROUND TWO Beginning Soon!

Today I picked up my refreshed laptop…but of course, I wouldn’t blog it if there wasn’t some kind of critical point or something of that sort. Firstly, I entered the waiting queue (at the end) at 5:30pm. When I got into the area where the IT technicians try to find your laptop, mine was MAGICALLY misplaced! So the IT people placed my card and sticker on a bunch of laptops that were being returned and continued serving the other people behind me — I was very scared that they’d either continue serving everyone else in the line before getting to me, or they’d somehow lose my ID and sticker.

Of course, as luck would have it, two people after me had the IT people going over to the T section of last names. Guess where my laptop was! Yes, you got it, in the T-section, while my last name begins with an L. Good job, IT…absolutely brilliant. I then went into the second queue to get papers signed, and after a while, was out the door to UA 1140 to the set-up session. The time was close to 7pm. BRILLIANT! SMASHING! WIZARD!

I think we will see many other brilliant fuck ups performances by the IT department in the near future.

My friend Patrick was hating me a lot when I told him I had 3-day weekends in the fall semester (Fridays are off, by God’s grace/plan), so I also told him that I am spending a minimum of 39.5 hours a week on campus in the fall semester. The longest day(s) would be Wednesday (12.5; starts at 8am, ends at 8:30pm), followed by Tuesday (11.5; starts at 9am, ends at 8:30pm).

Winter semester is a little bit more crazy, with a minimum of 45 hours a week on campus (this can be reduced if I choose to go somewhere during my 7hr gap after noon). The longest day(s) would be Monday (14; starts 8am, ends 10pm), followed by Tuesday (13; starts 8am, ends 9pm). Thursday comes in close, with slight < 11 hours (starts 9:40am, ends 8:30pm), which can also be decreased to only 4hrs if I choose to go somewhere (home?) during the 7hr gap. I smell lots of coffee/energy drinks on Monday and Tuesday…

So yes, is anyone more excited than I!?

I’m glad to hear you’ve got so much time between classes. Perhaps this time could be used to mingle with your yet to be reached friends and be a living testimony by just being in their company.

For my coming year, I’ve got a spare every other day (which is not bad at all) and I’m done a whole month before peers (like university students). I’m excited about this, since I also am headed for HK immediately following my IB exams to get my permanent citizenship before I turn 18 and work (and hopefully study) there. Nifty, no?
