Yesterday was a very long Sunday! We went to Mel K’s place to Wii and Bang (though I abstained from Wii), and then proceeded to Char’s place for even more Bang afterwards. It was one of the longest games ever…lasting well past 7pm (we started at 5:30 probably?). Here’s the low-down: I was the sheriff with the ability to discard 2 cards to gain a life point (very defensive!), while Sam was a renegade with the ability to play Bang as Mancato and vice-versa (also very defensive!). Each time he shot me, and me taking it, I’d immediately throw down the 2 from my hand to regain life…and whenever I shot at him he’d either use his green-cards or just pull out a B/M. This ordeal lasted around 40 minutes.
After duking it out after 40 minutes, I finally gave up and hoped for the dynamite to blast my ass (I would get my wish). We were now late for the games night at the white house (hosted by Aletheia…?) so we immediately dispatched! Nothing much happened again, other than more Bang (with many nubs) and eventually a game of Settlers (when it was basically just the 7 of us left - Tim, Sam, David, Ed Chu, Ed Chan, Stephen). I am happy to announce that I won my first real game of Settlers. David also won, since we were one of the XP’d-nub teams…but I wonder if he learned how to play from last night; he could’ve been suicidally bored.
We tried playing some PS2…but we couldn’t find a game that we liked (ironically), and missioned back for more Bang (also ironic). As the midnight oil continued to burn on, so did we…and eventually, EVENTUALLY, Tim and I left at around 4:45am. This was after a few games of Bang where I shot at Stephen, my vice, and got deceived by Sam.
…I wonder if Bang will continue to be exciting? My bets say yes.
