sandONE: The Official Theme

Well, well, well…it appears I still had time to make a re-design of the blog even though I am nearing finals. As most of you know, for the longest time I’ve been using Takimata, by Robert Ellis, as part of the Sandbox competition.

I really LOVED the minimalism and difference it set between my blog and the thousands of others out there. But for the longest time, I’ve also been considering one, unified, constant visual theme between my website, addonelam.net and blogONE. Robert’s Takimata awoke the minimalist in me, and he really showed how sometimes the simplest can be the most effective, and this is reflected through our respective sites, although he’s really doing a much better job than I am, haha.

Using Takimata as a base, I’ve worked sandONE into something that resembles my site. Of course, these are just beginning waves of modifications, and I really must re-add the base credit to Robert Ellis. Each time I code, strange stuff always happens…and I don’t know why :) (although I guess the navigation link clipping/sensitivity is due to the before and after text placement).

So, a list of things I’ve got in my mind TO DO:

  • Willingly link to Robert Ellis for the Takimata base
  • Streamline some part of my code
  • UPDATE WP AND SANDBOX (and then fix things if things break)
  • quite a bit more I can’t think of :(

But yes, this is a new age.
Welcome to the world, sandONE.

Update: Looks pretty ugly…yet cool [???] in IE6…I laugh my pants off every time. Die, IE, DIE :)
