A freedom which we [as Christians] sometimes take for granted is the ability to freely interpret scripture and what has happened in our lives. Sometimes our interpretations tie in closely with the Truth, but sometimes we are so far from it we having nothing coming to us other than rebuke.
From the recent chain of events which have happened regarding my airbags, I have a few interpretations.
- An “easy” view is that my SRS had failed a while ago (or the DEVIL wreaked havoc on the system as an attempt to jeopardize me), or was clinging on for dear life. With this said, the good Lord held onto my SRS and kept it strong in the event that I’d actually need it that evening. However, saying this opens the avenue for “Is it then in his Will that you’d need the airbags that evening?” And this is strange, almost saying that God wouldn’t have planned for me to get into accident by enforcing the SRS on my journey home.
- God really wanted me to attend and execute my right to vote in the annual GM at
TJCAC. An expensive way to tell me to go to a meeting though. - God didn’t want me to meet-up with a specific, interesting friend. Again, an expensive way to tell me “Not the one…”, but read on because there’s a side story to this*.
* – In first year I got Bell’s Palsy due to stress and excitement of exams and regards toward a specific, interesting friend. From one of the interpretations of my airbags situation, a new interpretation hit me that God may have been telling me back then that
- It’s not time, think about it some other time
- Can you focus on your schoolwork instead?
- She’s not the one, stay away
The last point is really strong and harsh, but it coincides with another interpretation of the airbags…which is simply, purely, just another interpretation.
I’ve been known to misinterpret things.
