My 21st Christmas [ALBUM]

Download

For the past 3 or 4 years, I’ve been contemplating recording a Christmas album…and each year I either lost my steam or became too busy with school work. Therefore its ironic that I am able to put this out here in spite of all the projects that are due. Nonetheless, this is my gift to you all: my feeble attempt at compiling a few songs that hopefully captures the Christmas spirit. Even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, I really hope you will try to enjoy the music.

Kathleen Wheeler – A New Leaf

Here’s a poem called “A New Leaf” by Kathleen Wheeler, whom I have no idea about but stumbled across through Boundless:

He came to my desk with a quivering lip, the lesson was done. “Have you a new sheet for me, dear teacher? I’ve spoiled this one.” I took his sheet, all soiled and blotted, And gave him a new one all unspotted. And into his tired heart I cried, “Do better now, my child.”

I went to the throne with a trembling heart, the day was done. “Have you a new day for me, dear Master? I’ve spoiled this one.” He took my day, all soiled and blotted, and gave me a new one all unspotted. And into my tired heart he cried, “Do better now, my child.”

There are things going on in my life right now that I haven’t experienced before (or for a long time). Of course, in the madness of confusion and uncertainty I forget something that I learned a while ago either in one of Dan or Art’s teaching session: when you pray to God for something, and if He deems it good for you, you will somehow be placed in the situation for it.

In my example, it was patience. And surely, surely (not Shirley), I am in the position right now where I must exercise and grow my patience…because I asked for it.
