As a celebration of the Victoria Day weekend, Jaffray held a “Taste of Spring” community event which featured food, a jumping castle (!!!), live music and…dancing lessons! All proceeds went to the upcoming community children day camp, and it was a very beautiful sunny day. The strictly audio portion of this post is sourced from my Creative ZMP and will be noticeably louder than the videos, due to the fact that the player was in my jacket pocket during the entire recording. Video was shot on a Samsung MX20 in native MP4 format, but has been converted to FLV for your viewing pleasure. Videos in the original source can be found at my Vimeo account. And for the first time ever…both FLV and audio can be streamed on the blog (thanks to Embedded Video and Audio Player) — I’ll get on my own player when I’m not busy anymore (as if). Note: To download MP3s on a PC, right-click and click “Save As”

The band consisted of:

  • Melissa Kwan – Female lead vocals
  • Herman Mo – Acoustic guitar, male lead vocals
  • Charmaine Wong – Drums
  • Carl Wong – Bass
  • Adwin Lam – Electric guitar

Special mention to Stephen Chan as our ending drummer.

I noticed that there were issues with Quicktime, as it requires users to have the QT plugin installed. This is highly…inflexible and improbable, so I have to do as the author recommended and convert everything to FLV. 7/10 times users should have the Flash plugin installed.

Here we go:

Update: It appears 3gp converted files fast forward…:S And my MP4 files have compound interlacing :(

This is a test of Viper007′s embedded video plugin, as an attempt to probably get all my media centralized.

As we can see, QUICKTIME WORKS!!!!!! Which is very cool, because 6.2.0 didn’t have them load — 6.2.1 fixes this stuff! The only potential problem I can see is having multiple Quicktime videos on the same page and having them all pre-load at the same time, as they have just now.

If there are any issues with viewing the Quicktime videos, please let me know. Please include your browser (and version) and maybe OS.
