[COVER] Stare At the Sun

As Noona+ is currently out of town, I am still keeping her guitar safe at home (it is an absolutely beautiful looking and sounding Simon & Patrick Songsmith; thanks and congrats again Noona+!)

Why wouldn’t I try a direct input recording?! (Now I know: The constant buzzing…)
However, such trivial things need not matter…here is another song originally by Thrice: Stare At the Sun.

[LATE NIGHT QUICKIE COVER] Of Dust and Nations

Thrice — a band I regret not listening to heavily while in high school and university. These guys have some really great material, and their track “Of Dust and Nations” is definitely among my favourites. It is way too hot in this stuffy room…it’s like a sauna here. Wow.

[COVER] Reinventing Your Exit

In February of 2010, I tried my first piano recording despite not actually knowing how to play piano, and it was one of a few (dozen) incredibly rough attempts. It’s been 2 years, and I still don’t know how to play piano, but a few songs will suffice (no, it doesn’t).

This recording marks the first time I’ve recorded piano digitally, that is, directly from the keyboard to the interface. Thanks to JWall for the digital tips 2 years ago…I’ve finally applied your expertise. And yes, those digital signals are bloody hot (signals-wise).

I present to you Underoath’s “Reinventing Your Exit”, which has a trippy music video, done in my usual butchering ways.
